Photography Update

A little too busy to keep on this blog, but we’re working on it. My logo/watermark are finally finished. After working on a unique and creative design for a few too many hours, I decided to go with my second take which took me less than one. Go figure… Let me know what you think.

My Tripod: It’s been broke for about 4 months. It’s a Gitzo which is the caddys of tripods, but it snapped like a twig while pulling out the legs to set up. I’m guessing the joint piece that broke wasn’t made of carbon fiber. I had sent it in two months ago and followed up 4 times. I didn’t even get a notification they had received it. If I hadn’t gotten insurance on the shipping I would have been much more stressed. I’m glad after two months, and a little persistence, they’ve decided send me an upgraded model that was the floor model. I’m fine with that. It shipped today.

Lenses: Loving my new 14-24mm 2.8 lens. Sharp as a tack. A tad worried I can’t screw a protective UV filter but that just means no sand dunes trips with it. I’ve sold my 18-200mm and am awaiting the November release of the much awaited Nikkor 70-200 2.8 VRII. Can’t wait. Until then, the longest focal length in my arsenal is my macro 105mm 2.8. The reach and zoom will be nice to have again.

Gallery Showing: More to come…

Vita!

Erik Keith Photography.com is a-live! It finally happened!

The old Roxer-ran photography site is gone and I have fully switched over. There’s still a ton to do and tens of thousands of pictures to go through so bear with me…

My passion has always been taking pictures. Always seem to take them faster than I can go through them. Doing anything with them has always been a challenge…  Ah well… getting into it.

This journal “painting with light” will be updated following photography shoots, travels, experimental photography or if I come across some interesting related nuggets to share.  Hope you enjoy!
